I was walking into work this morning and I saw a transit shelter poster promoting Peroni Beer (an expensive Italian import beer) www.peroniitaly.com

The design was very simple and clean. A white background, the Peroni logo and two images. One being a picture of  a Peroni beer, the second being a very sleek, blue luxury automobile.

There’s no doubt the concept was to have the consumer create a link between the Italian supercar and the Italian beer – both being high class and sophisticated.

Come on – linking alcohol and cars? What are you thinking?

Clearly the strategy was written on a bar napkin, in between the 6th and 7th round of drinks.
