Egg Farmers of Alberta

The Egg Farmers of Alberta represents registered producers in Alberta, liaising between egg producers and consumers. The EFA works with and supports their egg farmers, while educating the public about the production and nutritional value of eggs. William Joseph was contacted to develop a strategy to build brand equity in a variety of marketing materials.

Although the EFA had consistent branding, Alberta Eggs lacked the sort of brand recognition that other provincial food products enjoyed, such as Alberta Beef. William Joseph developed a strategic marketing plan, including brand language and visuals, which would see the EFA through years to come, and developed several marketing pieces using this brand.

EFA – Sustainability Report

The EFA needed to explain its sustainability plan in a concise and attractive manner that would appeal to several stakeholders. Using their revamped visual and written brand definition, William Joseph created a four-page sustainability report for the EFA. This report was designed to provide the audience an overall context for the EFA’s sustainability plans and graphically represent the data. The finished product explained the EFA’s sustainability framework and has become a powerful marketing piece for the organization.

EFA – Annual Report

The 2014 annual report for the EFA was intended to be a comprehensive report on the organization’s many activities throughout the year. With a wealth of information to contain within 32-pages, the William Joseph team was given creative freedom to build the report around attractive infographics to better represent the information. The result was a professional, yet uncomplicated, well-organized piece that not only informed but fully captured the new look and feel of the EFA brand.

EFA – Brochure

William Joseph created a brochure for the EFA to hand out to the general public at major events, such as the Calgary Stampede. The brochure was created to correct the public’s misconceptions about the Alberta egg industry and inform them of the nutritional benefits of eggs.

Using the established Egg Farmers of Alberta branding, the final product was an easy-to-read marketing piece that could be used at a variety of events. By connecting the EFA with the public in an accessible way, this brochure reflects the message and brand of the organization: Healthy Birds, Healthy Eggs, Healthy Farms, Healthy Communities.

EFA – Website

We designed a kid-friendly campaign website to house all of Albert’s content. Mobile-friendly for kids active on tablets, the website is easy to use and updated weekly with new activities, recipes and more and includes posts from Albert while he travels across the province. The site’s content links to Albert’s Facebook page and can be sorted by genre, or by hashtag.

EFA – Storybook

We designed and developed a fun story book written for young children to introduce kids to Albert. The storybook pages are easily flipped on a tablet when the story is read on Albert’s website and provides an eggcellent introduction to Albert and his journey.

EFA – Activity Book

We created a fun and vibrant Activity Book packed full of crafts, puzzles, eggsperiments and kid-friendly egg recipes. The Activity Book encourages children to connect with Albert, learn more about the health benefits of eggs and have fun along the way. The Activity Book will be handed out at events Albert attends and is a great way to get kids engaged.

EFA – Sunnyside Club

We developed a fan club for all of Albert’s new friends. Sunnyside Club members receive a membership package, including a membership card, in the mail, an Albert the Egg magazine that is published quarterly and their parents receive e-newsletters full of recipes, puzzles and activities to share with their little ones. The Sunnyside members can enter special contents, and the club is a fun, free and easy way for kids to connect with Albert both on and offline.
