With over 110 salons across Canada, Chatters is Canada’s #1 destination for hair services and professional hair products – both in-store and online.

Headquartered in Red Deer, AB, Chatters reached out to William Joseph to help raise awareness about their brand heritage and Canadian roots – while embracing a fresh approach to their social media marketing.

Campaign

#ShareTheChatter

#ShareTheChatter was a two-month, nationwide promotion that took place in over 100 Chatters stores across Canada. The driving force behind the #ShareThe Chatter campaign was Chatters’ “Buy 2 Get 1 Free” promotion which was then paired with an influencer marketing strategy.

Three key influencers across Canada were selected for the #ShareTheChatter campaign. The intention of choosing each influencer was to focus on self-love, a relevant target audience and of course – beautiful hair.

  1. Maria Koutsogiannis (@FoodByMaria): Originally from Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Maria is a food blogger that shared her passion for vegan-friendly products that are available through Chatters.
  2. Alex Gilmore (@AlexGilmore__): A fitness instructor from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and a co-owner of Total Package Fitness, Alex shared her love for Chatters’ products that can keep up with her active lifestyle.
  3. Catherine Wigg (@Catherine.Wigg): A busy mom of two in Calgary, Alberta, Catherine shared her passion for Chatters’ products that complement her busy lifestyle and allow her family to live as naturally as possible.

This resulted in developing a dynamic creative concept that guided the execution of the campaign.  A photo shoot with all three influencers provided custom photography for in-store banners that were hung throughout Chatters locations across Canada. In addition to in-store signage,  we created a social media campaign that featured the influencers’ favourite hair styling products – emphasizing the diversity and quality of products at Chatters salons. Each influencer also agreed to share the Chatters content on their platforms to help spread the word about the #ShareTheChatter campaign and drive awareness to the Chatters brand.

Our team also produced blog posts with each influencer to help drive traffic to the website to increase awareness of the promotion online to new and existing audiences.
